2024 was a year of growth and achievement for SimpleClick. We're proud of our awards, office expansion, new clients, and Breeze Builder.

SimpleClick's hard work was recognised

SimpleClick was delighted to be awarded 'Employer of the Year' and 'Travel Website of the Year' (with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines) as well as a finalist for 'Agency of the Year' at the UK Dev Awards. We were also finalists for 'Small Business of the Year' and 'Employer of the Year' at the EADT Business Awards in 2024. These nominations reflect the hard work and dedication of our team.

Fuelling ambition: SimpleClick sponsored Lydia Walmsley, a JCW Mini Challenge Championship Driver.

Lydia Walmsley Racing needed a website as dynamic as she is. We ditched the old Wix site and crafted a sleek, modern WordPress masterpiece using our very own Breeze Builder. This isn't just a website; it's a digital pit stop, showcasing Lydia's incredible talent and built with both fans and Lydia's future in mind. Easy to navigate for visitors and a breeze to manage for Lydia.

Lydia made history this season, becoming the first female driver to stand on the podium!

Expanding knowledge

One of our lead developers, Matt, jetted off to Krakow in Poland for the annual AppJS conference. This wasn't just any conference – it was a chance to rub elbows with the masterminds behind React Native and Expo, share war stories with fellow developers, and be part of the movement shaping the future of app development.

The excitement didn't stop there! Richard, Jules, Matt, Rachel, and April descended upon Brighton for brightonSEO, a two-day extravaganza of insights from the brightest minds in the industry.

And that's not all! Andy and Matt took a trip to London for ElasticON; a day packed with demos, breakout sessions, networking, and enough technical tips to last a lifetime!

These conferences weren't just about learning; they were about connecting, growing, and fuelling innovation within the SimpleClick team.

Lunch and learn

We've kicked off a new tradition: quarterly Lunch & Learns! These informal sessions are all about bringing the team together to learn new things in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Our inaugural session in June was a knowledge-packed feast (literally!). We put our brains to the test with an LGBTQ+ icons and Pride trivia quiz, kindly organised by Tracy Martinez, all while enjoying a delicious buffet lunch.

In October, we welcomed the esteemed Peter Basford for a Clarity 4D refresher course. This interactive session focused on enhancing teamwork, communication, and productivity – the perfect recipe for success!

Looking after your website is a breeze with Breeze Builder!

WordPress is a brilliant and versatile platform for a website, however, it can be clunky and unwieldy if not built and maintained properly.

To address these flaws, we developed Breeze Builder; a plugin that takes all the hassle away and makes website ownership less daunting.

Breeze complements our other CMS product Doddle, ensuring we have a solution that'll meet your requirements.

Office expansion

As our team continues to grow and thrive, in August, we were excited to announce that we expanded our office! We've taken over the entire Unit 9 at the Three River Business Centre, providing us with ample room to collaborate, innovate, and grow!

Out and about in the community

At SimpleClick, we believe that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is more than just a buzzword; it's a core value that drives our business. We're passionate about giving back to our community and supporting those in need.

This year, we hosted a series of impactful Do Good Networking events, raising £470 for local charities. But our commitment goes beyond fundraising; these events provided 140 hours of volunteering to local projects, making a real difference in the lives of others.

It's not all work at SimpleClick

This year, we embarked on a series of exciting social adventures! This included augmented reality darts battles, two teams took on an escape room (and competed against each other!), a team summer BBQ, days at Brands Hatch and Snetterton to watch the touring cars and see Lydia Walmsley compete in the Mini Challenge, there was never a dull moment.

And to cap it all off, we celebrated a year of incredible achievements with a festive Christmas party filled with good food, a few drinks and plenty of laughter; a great way to finish the year!
