Our impact

On this page we reflect on the influence our business has on the wider world.

As an industry, generally speaking, our impact on the environment is minimal. This is true of SimpleClick as we do not generate a lot of waste from manufacturing, our office is modern and efficient, so is the equipment we use, nor do we travel a lot.

Our carbon footprint for the year 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024 was calculated at 31.2 tonnes with the breakdown shown below:

It is our policy to:

• Think before we print. Our rule is to be paperless unless absolutely required.
• Recycle or reuse all waste that we can, including paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, toner cartridges, computer and peripheral equipment, and office furniture.
• Turn off electrical equipment if not being used.
• Turn off lights in rooms that aren’t used.
• No heating or air conditioning while rooms are unoccupied.
• Travelling for meetings is kept to a minimum; Zoom or Teams calls are our preference.
• When we do travel, public transport is our preferred mode of transportation.

SimpleClick’s office is leased and is part of a wider business park that is managed by the Landlord and managing agent. They provide electricity and water utilities as part of our lease agreement. SimpleClick is not involved in sourcing utility providers or the maintenance of associated services and equipment, for instance, the septic tank.

We have adopted a carbon management process to achieve Net Zero by completing the following steps:

• Measure - assessing the organisation’s footprint
• Carbon offset - compensating for damage already done
• Reduce emissions - taking steps to reduce our footprint

We are offsetting our carbon footprint through a verified carbon reduction project.
